Edgedancer by Brandon Sanderson

I took the advice of the author to read the short story between Words and Oathbringer. This is an expansion on the excellent character of Lift, but it is certainly not necessary for the story to move along. Actually I was a little disappointed that the first full chapter was simply a repeat from Words of Radiance.

In terms of a short story, I found this little side stop with Lift to be incredibly humorous. She presents a completely different side of what it means to be a Knight Radiant. Plus I can respect her love to try everyone else's food. I appreciated knowing more of her character and back story as she does show up in the later novels.

It wasn't worth waiting so long to find a copy at the library when I had Oathbringer available as it was not fundamental for the story continuing on.
